Idle - Game Template
Create idle games - also called clicker or incremental games. Click to earn, buy generators that earn for you, stack up upgrades and achievements, and prestige to start over stronger. Progress is saved, and keeps growing while the game is closed.
This game template allows you to create games like Cookie Clicker, AdVenture Capitalist and Clicker Heroes.
Features
No programming required
Create idle and clicker games without coding.
Something to click
A cookie, a coin, a gem, a planet, a big red button or any emoji you like, drawn big in the middle of the screen. Choose what one click is worth, and how many clicks a second count - so an autoclicker is not the best upgrade in the game.
Generators
The things that earn while nobody is clicking. Set what the first one costs, how fast the price climbs and what each one produces, and the store shows them in order, revealing the next one as the player gets close to affording it. Buy one at a time, ten, a hundred or as many as the bank allows.
Upgrades
Double a generator, multiply everything, make clicks worth more, have every click earn a share of production, or make one generator better for every one of another that is owned. Each appears when you say - own 25 of something, earn a million, click a thousand times - and the standard ladder for a generator is one click.
Achievements
Milestones that are kept for ever, each worth a little production so they are a reason to play rather than a list of trophies. Make some of them secret. A ready-made set for your game is one click.
Golden bonuses
Something golden turns up somewhere on screen every so often and fades if it is not caught: a lump sum, a few seconds of everything multiplied, or a click frenzy. The one thing in an idle game that rewards being there.
Prestige
Give up the whole run for points that make everything earn more, for good. Each run is faster than the last and gets further, which is what turns an afternoon's game into one played for weeks.
Saved, and earning while away
Progress is saved in the player's browser and picked up where it was left. Choose how much the generators earn while the game is closed, and for how long - the player is welcomed back with what they made.
See the pacing before anybody plays
The editor plays your game - hours of it in a moment - and shows when every generator is first bought, how long the longest wait is, which upgrades nobody ever reaches and when the goal is met. An idle game is balanced by its pacing, and this is where you see it.
Sounds
Clicks, purchases, upgrades, golden bonuses turning up and being caught, achievements, prestige, the goal and the welcome back, generated as the game is played. Choose their style, volume and pitch, and which events make a sound.
